The number of stars from
duplicate cards
is saved in Star Chests, which have card packs and rewards.
You can open Star Chests by using your duplicate card stars.
Star Chests are located in the top-right corner of the Collection section.
A duplicate silver card increases your duplicate card stars balance by the same star value of that duplicate card.
A duplicate gold card increases your duplicate card stars balance by twice the star value of that duplicate card.
