Lightning Tower can be opened by breaking the required number of Electric Capsules. Electric capsules can be broken by making matches in front of it or hitting it with power-ups. Once opened, Lightning Tower can be activated by hitting it 7 times. When it is activated, it releases 3 lightning strikes on the items.
